It's finally election day! After two years of campaigning we can finally catch a breather. I was listening to Good Morning America this morning while I was finishing getting ready and they were doing this whole "we have been with you thru the whole campaign so to sum it up, here's the last words from each canidate" and I have to say hearing Obama, Biden, Palin and McCain each say their last parts of their speeches last night was very moving for me. I think it's something about knowing that today I will go vote, and it will count. Lots of countries around the world don't have this freedom and it's something to be cherished for sure. So listeners I hope you all go out there today and cast your vote for what you want!!!

It has been one of those days! But on the upside I think I see things getting better on the horizon. On the news front, I'll be recording Thursday night and hopefully will have a new episode to post on Friday. That is of course if the editing gods will smile down upon me.

Let me ask this to all of you out there, have you ever had a friend that you were so close to and then suddenly they changed and didn't want to be your friend anymore? I'm really struggling with this right now and wonder if anyone has some sage advice they can give.

Hey kids! Just a quick update. I subscribed to libsyn tonight and that website is: http://adrinktobesober.libsyn.com/ Hooray! Also I will be recording the first episode tomorrow night so everyone wish me luck with with the whole editing process. I'm super excited to get moving and there's just a few details that are being hammered out like music, artwork, and me finishing the podcast for dummies.

Also just for a little tidbit for you all to look foward too, a good friend (who goes by critical care nurse on this here blog) will being joining me for episode 2! I know we'll have a blast and we always have some great stories to tell!

So here I am tonight listening to some podcasts to keep caught up, and I happened to be checking out the latest episode of one of my favorite people on the planet, Eric from Confessions of a Southern Boy in Yankee Land. And let me just say, he's super cute. I love his show and his rambling is just so entertaining. And I have to say a big mega thanks to him. I do have to say however, I hope that I don't suck. :) Because sucking in this instance is bad. So anyway yes thanks to him. Check his blog out at boy-oh-boy.blogspot.com.

I'm not sure what it is, but I think that somewhere out there in the flotsam there is a universal rule that states, "Everything on a Monday will be messed up. No matter what."

Since I was out sick most of last week things are in an uproar here and they will probably stay that way for awhile. Which I really hate because I work hard to try and keep things flowing well. It never fails however that when you're out like I was you have to rely on your coworkers to help out and invariably something will happen to ruin it.

shoot me.

Anyway I should get back to work since it won't do itself. But I'd pay to see it if it did.
